Overview

Renewable South Bay is a program that will connect residents with resources, education and materials about how to add renewable energy to their homes.

A growing number of South Bay homeowners are going solar and adding other clean energy features to their homes. Studies show that the biggest barrier to making energy-efficient renovations is the initial cost. Renewable South Bay helps homeowners to overcome that obstacle. PACE financing is available to homeowners according to the amount of equity available in a home and allows property owners to make improvements with no money down. The cost of the project is paid off over time as an addition to the homeowner’s property tax bill.

As a program of South Bay Cities Council of Governments (SBCCOG), Renewable South Bay is available to residents of 16 South Bay cities and some parts of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
