With the February 18 meeting we are beginning what will be a year-long focus on SB 375 implementation and related issues.  This meeting will feature a presentation by SCAG on the population forecast for the South Bay that will most likely be used as the basis for establishing VMT reduction targets for the sub-region.  SCAG wants to lay out its plan and listen to our comments.  We must let them know what does and doesn't make sense.
 
The other significant item is a description of the NEV Demonstration Project which was funded by the AQMD earlier this month.  This project is one component of the South Bay's approach to VMT reduction required by SB 375 and the LCWG will function as the advisory committee for this project.
